Bebek is a historic town located on the European shore of the Bosphorus, close to the Fatih Sultan Mehmet (FSM) Bridge.
Surrounded by other charming neighbourhoods such as Rumeli Hisari, Arnavutkoy and Etiler, Bebek is considered to be one of the most desirable suburban areas of Istanbul.
Since the town is located in a bay, it is easily accessible by sea transport, be it by ferryboat or private sea taxi, which is often the preferred way to travel in Istanbul, a city with heavy traffic. Bebek also has several bus stops, taxi ranks and a nearby subway station making transport to and from the area easy and affordable.
Although Istanbul is becoming increasingly urbanised, Bebek remains one of the greener areas of the city. There is the renowned Bebek Park with a large playground and a walking route along the water for joggers. It is also a practical neighbourhood to live in where you can find a gym, super markets, a fish market, fresh fruit and vegetable stands, pharmacies, banks, hair salons, a post office, flower shop, fashionable boutiques, chic restaurants and stylish cafes all within a short walking distance from Bebek 11/13.
